During Ruth’s time as a practitioner, she has worked at a variety of sports teams, events, and other environments such as with Dyfed-Powys Police in their Occupational Health department.
 
 
 
Ruth’s main passion is rugby, and she has been working as part of the medical team at Llandovery RFC for over a decade and is currently the medical lead at the club. She has also been involved with the WRU working mainly within the Welsh Exiles development pathway for many years and most recently has been supporting the Welsh Under 20s squad.
 
Other rugby teams that Ruth has been involved with over the years include Scarlets (working with the age grade teams up to the Senior squad), Lampeter Ladies, Coleg Sir Gâr, Llandovery College, Ceredigion District and Mynydd Mawr & Dinefwr District.
 
 
 
Over the years Ruth has provided soft tissue treatment and medical cover in many sporting events. Running and triathlon events include Iron Man Wales, Swansea half marathon and other local running events. In addition to these events Ruth has supported the YFC and Urdd organisations providing medical cover for a range of their sporting competitions.
 
 
 
Ruth is fully insured and an accredited Level 4 Sports Massage Association (SMA)
Gold Member.
Ruth is also a full member of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRAT).
Ruth graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2013 with a first class degree in BSc(Hons) Sports Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage. Since then, Ruth has been furthering her knowledge and in 2016 completed a Masters at St. Mary's Twickenham University in MSc Sports Rehabilitation.
